From the Desk of President John Jackson:
Jessup University is grateful to the Multnomah Campus employees who have remained faithful to the campus for these past two years. We want to thank and appreciate each of the employees and the leadership team, Dr Jessica Lynn Taylor, Dr. Karen Fancher, Dr. Joe Slavens, and Lisa Newbore, who have served during this time period. We recognize that these last two months have been particularly challenging in light of ceasing traditional undergraduate residential education on the campus as of May 2025. Thank you for your prayers and support for one another and for the community.
When Jessup University was first approached in November of 2023, we began immediately to fund Multnomah University to ensure that employees would continue to be paid. Jessup continued to fund Multnomah with millions of dollars of support over the next several months until Multnomah University ceased to exist in May of 2024 and the remaining assets and liabilities were contributed to Jessup. Since then, Jessup has continued to fund Multnomah University through the multi-million dollar deficits of this past year as well. While Jessup University has made substantial financial investments to sustain Multnomah operations over the past 18 months, we also recognize the importance of long-term sustainability. As such, we are unable to continue funding the campus at the same levels indefinitely. Our future efforts will be focused on building viable, mission-aligned programs such as Multnomah Biblical Seminary and JessupGlobal that serve both the Portland community and students around the world. Through it all, we are very grateful that more than 80% of the Multnomah students who continued from Fall 2023 have been able to graduate from the 91猎奇. Thank you for your commitment to the student body.
We are pleased to continue the Multnomah legacy through the Multnomah Biblical Seminary; in fact, we sense the Lord is positioning the Seminary to extend its influence in Portland, Sacramento, and beyond through a vital distance education model that incorporates face-to-face, digital, and ministry context experiences. We will see effective education, training, and spiritual formation taking place through our gifted professors and staff members. Further, soon the Multnomah Campus will be able to host international students through JessupGlobal as well as have the capacity to host community groups and partnerships.
Jessup University continues to partner with the Church to educate transformational leaders for the glory of God. We look forward to seeing God鈥檚 hand continue to manifest His grace among us. We are grateful for your prayers and partnership in these endeavors.
For His Glory,
John Jackson, PhD

Multnomah & Jessup: Honoring the Past, Looking to the Future
Over the past 18 months, Multnomah and Jessup have partnered in a shared commitment to Christ-centered education. Since Multnomah became the Portland campus of Jessup University in May 2024, we鈥檝e celebrated student success and academic excellence together.
Thanks to this partnership, two graduating classes completed their degrees on the Portland campus鈥攁n outcome only possible through our shared efforts. We see this as a testament to God鈥檚 faithfulness and the dedication of our faculty and staff.
As of May 2025, traditional undergraduate residential programs in Portland have concluded. We are grateful for the faithful service of the campus community. Jessup will continue advancing Multnomah鈥檚 legacy through mission-driven efforts like Multnomah Biblical Seminary and JessupGlobal, serving students locally and globally.
We move forward with hope, trusting in God鈥檚 provision and seeking His glory.
